Adding Addiction
Adding Addiction is one of the most inventive math games on this site. It is very unique. The game is on a sixth grade level but the instruction may be for higher elementary level. Here is the basic idea. Click on a block and then click on another adjacent block. Do this until you have a math sequence. Next, double click the last block when you are ready to complete your sequence. These math sequences can include on or two digit numeric answers. The operations within your pattern can be performed in any order. Sky blue block within a question mark are wild blocks. Thy are called wild blocks in the game because they can take any numeric or arithmetic value. These blocks will change back to normal in three turns. This 6th grade math game has two modes. They are primed and timed.
Kendoku
This 6th grade math puzzle game is a conundrum. The puzzles can be solved by combining the four main mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are no formal instructions which is what makes Kendoku so unique and mind boggling. Half of the game is figuring out how to play it. It is interesting but also easy to see why math students would get frustrated.
Triangle Math Game
Our triangle math game is more of a learning tool than a game. It covers triangles, sine, and cosine. You can put in your own triangle numbers and see what comes up. Click on the figure to generate a response. Just be careful not to out in a wrong set because the game will let you know. You can also work on your angle skills. Definitely a must try if you are a sixth grader studying triangles.
